Research

A top 3 public research university, the University of Minnesota contributes both theoretical and applied research to improve tourism. Center staff and affiliates work on a variety of research projects that both directly and indirectly influence decision making for individuals, communities, and businesses. Critical research issues in MN are primarily identified by Center staff, based on national and international trends, and reviewed and prioritized through the Center's Advisory Committee. Beginning in 2004, the Center will focus on an emerging topic and provide quarterly information for its web guests.
