This ten-week course provides a comprehensive overview of key issues in festival and event management. Each week's topics center on issues discussed in the text for this course: Event Management and Event Tourism (2d ed) by Donald Getz, Ph.D, Professor of Tourism and hospitality Management at the University of Calgary. The course will cover topics such as: planning, logistics, human resource management, risk management, marketing, and event evaluation.

The text, as well as the course user name and password, will be sent to participants after course registration has been completed.

Class participants will be expected to take part in online discussions, submit short written responses to discussion questions, and complete online chapter quizzes.
